The much loved, Long Lazy Lunch
is back and tickets are on sale now!
After the amazing rush to purchase Long Table Dinner tickets for this year’s Dungog Festival (October Long Weekend 28 September – 01 October 2018), it’s great to be able to announce that tickets for the Long Lazy Lunch, the final climax of the Dungog Festival on 1st October 2018, have just gone on sale.
‘We’re delighted with the way the Festival is developing this year,’ says Creative Director Sarah Crawford. ‘We really believe that the action packed weekend, with a heavy emphasis on the creative arts, will have something for everyone and the early rush for tickets is a sure sign.’
Brought back by very popular demand, you can enjoy a final lazy afternoon in the grounds of the historic homestead of “Cairnsmore”, just out of town. Famed target of bushrangers in the 19th and early 20th Century, the lovely traditional wide-verandah home is an ideal venue to showcase Dungog’s historic past. The stylish informality of the event includes Gourmet picnic hampers to enjoy inside or outside.
Whether you want to grab a spot on the grass or set yourselves up at any of the tables and chairs on the verandah or under the trees in the gardens, you’ll be able to buy drinks at the bar, kick back and listen to some local music in beautiful surrounds.
Like all the Dungog Festival events, the Long Lazy Lunch will help raise money for some good causes – in this case Dungog Showground and the Charlie Teo Foundation, for brain surgery in Australia.
